My experiences as a student and what I would change.

When I got into the "Universidad de Costa Rica" I really don´t care too much about grades, I used to go to the university to talk whit my fiends and drink some beers, actually a lot of beers, at the begining it was like a dream I enjoied so much and everything was perfect, but some how I failed the whole first semester, I mean I failed all the courses, even "Humanidades", and anyone failed that course just me, after I wonder to my self: What is going on?, I discover that maybe if I study instead of drink beers I will success in academics, but sometimes is easier to think someting that make it true.
I tried to stop drinking again and again, but I couldn´t, then I went to study to San José, where I didn´t know too much people, but it was just matter of time and I got new friends to spend time drinking beers.
After a few years I decide to stop drinking and amazingly my grades improve a lot, I mean a lot, I reach the best score of the 416 students registred in animal science in 2006.
Probably if I could change something of my student life, it would be the amount of alcohol that I used to drink, maybe the half of the beers would be enough.

  2. Hi Alejandro!

Good post, and good "food for thought," as they say in English. I'm glad that you were able to get the drinking under control.

The next thing to get under control: sentence length. The first paragraph is just one loooong sentence. It would seem better and much more coherent if you divided it into various shorter sentences. Could you do that?

Thanks for sharing. See you tomorrow!

  3. Hi dude, I like the way you get relaxed to go to classes or enjoy them, drinking... What a nice way haha. It isn't pretty hard to understand what you try to mean, but try using better past structures and present ones. See you tomorrow, nice post :)
