This company has 250 direct employees and buys the milk of 300 little dairy farms, most of that milk (about 40000 kg per day) is procesed into cheese and sold in a very selected market here in Costa Rica.
The concept of good or bad is relative, but I consider that a good company should care about:
1-The wellfare of it´s employees.
2-The emviroment.
3-The social wellness of the comunity where the company is located.
4-The economic retribution to the company.
Based in the previous description of what a good company means for me, I will give an example for each of the four points mencioned.
1-"Corporación Monteverde S.A." taught about psycological an physical topics in order to motivate the employees and to prevent any accident related to the everyday work.
2-This company also has very strict quality norms related to the whey degradation in order to prevent pollution.
3-As a way to reward the farmers work, this company gives scholarships to the farmers son´s and daughter´s that otherwise couldn´t be able to study.
4-"Corporación Monteverde" makes sure to make enough money (near to one millon dollars per year) to keep in business.
I think that this company is a good company.
Hi dear partner:
ResponderEliminarI think that if you are refering to milk it wouldn't be in kilograms, maybe in liters? And I love cheese, and speacially Monteverde cheese ;)
Also the enviorment is pretty important, so if a company takes care of it the company will be better and that is how it is meant to be.
See you tomorrow pal
Alejandro,
ResponderEliminarI think you should bring samples to class tomorrow so we can judge for ourselves if you're telling the truth!
See you tomorrow,
Ryan
-Thanks Ricardo for your comments, well I am sure that when we talk about milk before the industrial process, we should talk about kilograms because is the way tha company pays to the farmer.
ResponderEliminar-Thanks Ryan, I suspect that probably you had taste this cheese in the past, thats the reason I didn´t give you a sample. Ha. Ha. see you.
