AP-5 1st Blog: What and how we normally eat

In our family we formally eat three times per day (breakfast, lunch, supper). We frequently breakfast bread (spread with cheese cream, pate or strawberry jelly), mixed eggs, and coffee or orange juice. The most common food in lunch would probably be: rice, beans, one source of animal protein (beef, pork, chicken or fish), and salad made of lettuce. For the dinner we eat toasted bread (made of remain untouched bread of the breakfast) and “Gallo Pinto” that is a typical dish in Costa Rica made of mixed buttered rice and beans.
We always sit around the table and talk about what we have to do, or what we did, one aspect that probably is different between the way we eat at home, and the way that most families eat in Costa Rica, is that we put the whole pot of food on the table, and everyone take whatever they want, and I believe that is more common in our country that every person take their meals from the kitchen and go to the table with a single portion of food. I think it´s bad for our shape because we probably eat more than our energy balance needs, but it´s the way it is and we enjoy it.

  1. Hi Alejandro!

I'll wait to see what your group partners comment about your blog, but I wanted to mention a few English things.

First of all, you can't normally use "breakfast" as a verb.

Secondly, if you use "each" or "every" in any form, usually you should treat it as singular... maybe just think of it like you're considering each individual, one at a time.

Knowing that, what changes would you make to your paragraph?

    Thanks!
    Ryan
